Residence Life Responsibilities

  • Oversaw the administration and management of a first-year coeducational residence hall with over 200 residents
  • Supervised, trained, and evaluated eight staff members and one graduate staff member
  • Oversaw a hall budget of $2,925
  • Served as the leadership, financial, and programmatic adviser to community council
  • Shared responsibility for campus-wide emergency on-call duty rotation for 7,000 undergraduate students
    • Utilize residential curriculum to create a space conducive to holistic student growth through developmentally appropriate programming

  • Directly supervised 30 college aged camp counselors and indirectly supervised another 30 across 20 summer camp cabins, each made up of approximately 15 camp attendees
  • Created and maintained the budget for weekly large scale events for camp attendees
  • Entertained 700 campers and counselors on stage for 11 one-week sessions with skits and video media
  • Collaborated with fellow managers, design, improve and perform nightly activities for 300+ campers and worked on the continued enhancement of 20 daily run activities
  • Counseled 55+ counselors through camper/counselor conflicts as well as physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of campers, counselors, and parents
