Clara Cullen

Clara Cullen is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan’s Spanish and International Studies programs. As a student, she assisted with bioethnographic data analysis in the Roberts Lab, with a focus on adolescent pregnancy among youths in Mexico City. Clara is particularly interested in understanding how structural factors such as economic policy intersect with biological systems to influence women’s health outcomes and rates of adolescent pregnancy. Since graduating, Clara is continuing her exploration of women’s and adolescent health issues through a Fulbright Student Research Grant to Ecuador, where she is collaborating with researchers from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito’s School of Medicine. Clara continues to be active in the Mexican Exposure team’s work on adolescent pregnancy.
