Setting: 1200 Earhart Rd., Ann Arbor

Description: Large residential nursing center for senior citizens in the Ann
Arbor/Washtenaw County community.

Student’s Role: Participate in a wide range of activities and functions within the nursing
center. Placements are determined based upon volunteer’s interest. Opportunities
include: resident escort, assisted living aide, dining room meal companion, activity
volunteer, and friendly visitor services. Excellent opportunities for students interested in
geriatric medicine, nursing, social work, and occupational and physical therapy.

Transportation: Your own car, an Outreach vehicle (if available), or the AAATA.
Prerequisites & Requirements: Training provided by the volunteer services office.
Times: Flexible, depending on placement activities. Weekend and evening hours are
available.

Directions: Take Fuller Road east. Turn left on Glazier Way. Turn right on Huron
Parkway. Make a U-Turn on Huron Parkway to go right on Glazier Way. Turn left on
Earhart Road.
