The Lab Fee

All students enrolled in Psychology 211 – Project Outreach, are required to pay the lab fee as part of their course requirements.

The Psychology Department covers (as it does for other courses offered in the department) the typical course costs (salary of the Faculty Coordinator and Graduate Student Instructors, Administrative and support staff salaries, and other typical course costs). Psychology 211 is not a typical course, however, and so incurs expenses that other courses do not. Some of the costs are honorariums for guest speakers, larger quantities of duplicating of class materials, special supplies necessary in some of the programs, special media/film expenses, and, of course, transportation. Without the lab fee being in place, the Psychology Department and the College would not be able to offer this “hands-on” course to students.

The lab fee is charged directly to your student tuition account.
