Nicole Bedera

Nicole Bedera is a doctoral candidate in the Sociology Department at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on how organizations shape the experience of sexual violence. She has studied college sexual violence response, as well as queer women’s experiences of sexual assault and men’s reactions to affirmative consent policies. Nicole’s work has been featured in The New York Times, TIME Magazine, Slate, Teen Vogue, and Inside Higher Ed. Her research has also been adapted into a sexual assault prevention exercise by Planned Parenthood of Utah.
