2017 Alumni Panelists

Betsy Brown-Tseng, received her PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Michigan in 2016, graduating from the lab of Stephen Maldonado. Now, she is a research chemist at PPG in metal treatment solutions.

Beth Kubitskey, graduated from UM with a BS in Chemistry and then a PhD in Education also from UM, now she is the Associate Dean for Students and Curriculum at Eastern Michigan University and an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Arts and Science.

Sethu Pitchiaya, received his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at Anna University, India and pursued his graduate training in Chemical Biology at the University of Michigan, under Dr. Nils G. Walter. He subsequently joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology as a Research Investigator here at UM.

Zachary Buchan, is an Ann Arbor native, B.S. in chemistry from Hope College in 2006, Ph.D. (2011) at University of Michigan with John Montgomery, Joined Dow AgroSciences’ Discovery Chemistry group (2011), Member of Dow’s PhD Chemistry Recruiting team for the University of Michigan since 2012.
