Erika L. Moritsugu

AAPI Senior Liaison, 2021 – Present

Erika Moritsugu was appointed Deputy Assistant to the President and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Senior Liaison by President Biden in April 2021. 

She previously served as the Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and also led the Government Relations, Advocacy, and Community Engagement team at the Anti-Defamation League. 

Born in California and raised in Hawai’i, Moritsugu has been actively involved in promoting civil rights, voting rights, Asian American and Pacific Islander empowerment, domestic violence counseling, disaster relief, in addition to many other causes.
