About

We are a plant evolutionary and ecological genomics lab and we study the genetics, ecology and evolution of traits that promote persistence in the face of environmental stress. We predominantly use an emergent plant model, Ipomoea purpurea, or the common morning glory, to investigate the process of adaptation to the agricultural regime. We examine questions such as: Which and how many genes underlie herbicide resistance? How does the mating system influence resistance evolution? What is the functional and evolutionary significance of leaf shape variation? Check out our Research page for more information!
