Ten years ago, my blood sugar spiked. I just met with my newest PCP, and we went through all my stuff. Nothing about my diabetes profile matched her expectations, so the first instinctive conclusion she drew was “Are they sure the measurement was real back in 2015?” I get that, but at the same time, when an observation is n0n-dogmatic, dismissing it is hardly the right reaction compared with “well, this is going to be an interesting case to learn about…”.
Ten years on a the A1c and all other lab measures, eye measures, and foot measures are normal.
