A Brief Visual History of How Publishers, Editors, Translators, and Scholars in the Upper Midwest Bring Eastern European Literature to the World

This online exhibit is the first edition of a project to document the networks of institutions and individuals in the Upper Midwest that, form the Cold War to the present, have helped preserve the literatures of Eastern and Central Europe and Central Asia and share that literature with a global audience, both in the texts’ original languages and in literary translation.
