Mar 7: Field Trip! (April 1, 2016)

Salutations to all,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the first industry site visit!

We will be traveling to Battle Creek, MI, to visit the Kellogg World Headquarters [www.kelloggcareers.com] on Friday, April 1st. Kellogg [en.wikipedia.org] is an American multinational food manufacturing company specializing in cereal
and convenience foods.

Starting at noon, we will meet with their food chemistry team, tour their facilities (chemistry research labs and pilot plant tour), and learn about opportunities for chemists at Kellogg [www.kelloggs.com]. The learning won’t stop when we leave the facility; Territorial Brewing [territorialbrewing.com] will be talking to us about brewing chemistry. A brief presentation and brewery tour will be followed by dinner before we head home.

Please apply here by Friday, March 11 (at 11:59 pm) to be considered for this exciting trip. Space is limited, and additional details are listed in the application.

Prepare yourself for this exciting journey into the world of food chemistry by attending our Introduction to Food Chemistry event.
