Jun 9: Dow Chemical Case Study (Jun 29 and Aug 3)

CALC|UM is pleased to host an event unlike any other! This will be a two-session event with the Dow Chemical Company. During Session One researchers from Dow, Jessica Klinkenberg, De-Wei Yin, Timothy De Vries, and Matthew Remy, will present an industrial case study regarding a Dow challenge. Students will then be encouraged to form interdisciplinary teams in order to brainstorm solutions to the challenge. During Session Two, the UM teams will present their solutions to the Dow representatives followed by a discussion of the solutions Dow evaluated and implemented. This event is a remarkable opportunity to connect with Dow and experience group-driven problem solving that is essential in industry, and in order fully experience interdisciplinary problem solving, we invite participation by chemists, chemical engineers, and macromolecular scientists. Below are details of the event and a link to registration.
