Welcome to the final week of Camp Explorations for the summer of 2022. This week will be ‘Ology’ week. Every day we will be tackling a new field of science and learning all we can about various ‘ologies’. Here are some questions to ask your camper(s) at the end of each day.

On Tuesday, campers will learn about the field of Paleontology. We start the day by talking to a real paleontologist about what they do and how they got to do such a cool job. Campers will bring out their creative side when they make triceratops hats and will be able to dig like real paleontologists in our dig box. On Wednesday, we will be learning about Biology. Younger campers will visit a real salt life aquarium that is tended to by a university researcher. We will learn about how different animals live at different depths of the ocean and complete an activity related to these animals. Campers will also be able to paint their own sea animal magnet. Ask…

On Friday, we will be learning about Ecology. The day will start with some time in the Nichols Arboretum. We will be doing some animal yoga and also learning about the necessary components for every habitat.
