It’s time to catch up on the arrivals and departures the lab has seen over the last 6 months or so!
- We said goodbye to Meredith Belloni, our lab manager since 2019. She has moved on to graduate studies in Linguistics at Tulane. Congrats Meredith!!! She leaves the lab better than she found it (of course) with a whole set of amazing new data that we are still working through, clearer procedures in place for tracking and organizing everything from recruitment, protocol updates, and lab supplies.
- We welcomed Reegan Katzenberger under the MRADS undergraduate program. Reegan is interested in combining her coursework in computer science with questions relating to language processing and the brain. She is working with Matthew Button and long-time lab member Ibrahim Lubis to analyze a set of EEG data that addresses the time-course of lexical access using a semantic priming paradigm (see here for an earlier look at that dataset from Ibrahim!)
- We also welcomed Matthew Button under the UROP research program. Matt brings interests, and background, in signal processing and language learning to the lab with an aim of expanding these skills to the analysis of neural signals. He joins Reegan and Ibrahim on the time-course of lexical access project. (Matt is also pushing me to (finally) up my git game. Thanks Matt!)
