For the past year, the Collaboratory has been building the Humanities Assessment Hub, a website with documents and resources to support collaborative, engaged researchers as they navigate the promotion and tenure process. To that end, the Collaboratory hosted a one-day workshop on 4/18/25 with esteemed colleagues who will serve as the steering committee for the Hub, as well as integral faculty from around the University of Michigan. The team discussed the organization of the documents, how to disseminate the website, potential pitfalls of trying to amass the breadth of resources we are trying to collect, and how the Hub could impact the state of the humanities.
Work on the Humanities Assessment Hub continues through the summer, spearheaded by Kristin Hass and a student team composed of Marisol Fila and Eda Bozkurt. The Hub is anticipated to go live in August.
