Postdoctoral Scholar Position in Solid-State Quantum Optics

One postdoctoral or visiting scholar positions available for conducting innovative research on manybody physics and quantum information science in low-dimensional solid-state nano- and micro-systems.

Important qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in experimental AMO physics and experience in experimental quantum optics, laser spectroscopy, quantum gasses or quantum information science. Experience with nanofabrication is also useful.

Students in the group typically each work on independent but related projects. You will be acquainted with a broad range of subjects in modern physics (such as quantum optics, manybody physics, quantum information science, cavity QED, laser physics, semiconductor physics…) through working on them and while CONTRIBUTING to them! You will develop skills in laser spectroscopy, quantum optical measurement, cryogenics, and nanofabrication and characterization of semiconductors. You will become experienced in designing and debugging experiments, as well as interpreting complex data through numerical analysis and theoretical modeling. Besides, you will receive enthusiastic guidance and strong support in your professional development.
