codes, Southwest Detroit resident Theresa Landrum has fought for decades to protect her neighbors from heavy industry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But another area of potential environmental concern \u2014 the maritime trade industry \u2014 isn\u2019t as well known and it poses risks, too, experts and advocates like Landrum say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen you talk about marine traffic on our waterways leading to climate change, I\u2019m sure most people wouldn\u2019t even understand what you\u2019re talking about,\u201d said Landrum, noting the discussions are mainly confined to \u201cthe circles of the environmental justice groups\u201d and not localized to the community.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
