Chester Frederick

Chet and Frances are siblings. Their father was one of the kingpins in the neighborhood’s numbers syndicate. He has a lot of stories to tell. Chet is also a novelist and a retired professor of English at U-Mass Boston. He has published a number of novels, mostly dealing with Eastern Europe. I interviewed them in West Newton, MA and he gave me some manuscripts of stories dealing with the neighborhood. Interview conducted in March of 2006.
