About Me
I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan in the Department of Political Science. My research is about the relationship between citizens and democratic institutions, focusing particularly on how grassroots civil society groups link citizens to the state. My dissertation focuses on the political behavior of neighborhood associations in urban Colombia and how institutional changes can increase their effectiveness.
I received a B.A. in Political Science and Chinese from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2018.
