{"id":384,"date":"2015-08-01T09:24:13","date_gmt":"2015-08-01T13:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.lsa.umich.edu\/earthcamp\/?p=384"},"modified":"2017-01-26T10:39:18","modified_gmt":"2017-01-26T15:39:18","slug":"earth-camp-2015-day-6-sleeping-bear-dunes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.lsa.umich.edu\/earthcamp\/2015\/08\/01\/earth-camp-2015-day-6-sleeping-bear-dunes\/","title":{"rendered":"Earth Camp 2015 &#8211; Day 6 (Sleeping Bear Dunes)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I woke up to this headline in the news today:<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"post-title\">Sleeping Bear Dunes ranked 13th in nation for number of search and rescue operations<\/h1>\n<p>Our group made it through our 3 days without any emergency assistance needed, I&#8217;m glad\u00a0we didn&#8217;t add to this statistic!<\/p>\n<p>Our last day of Earth Camp was a short service project in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Students pulled\u00a0common mullein from the sides of the Heritage Trail, a bike path that runs through the park.
