Welcome to EHLM.

Research on the persistent influence of memories and historical legacies has a rich pedigree. Economists and political scientists have famously explored the long-run developmental consequences of colonialism and conflict while psychologists, sociologists, and anthropologists have informed our understanding of how traumatic events can shape individual and collective opinions on a variety of issues. However, there exists a vast gulf between these disciplines on theoretical and methodological grounds. This workshop is intended to help bridge that gap by promoting cross-discipline interactions between faculty and graduate students who work on this topic. We hope that this will lead to increased theoretical borrowing, methodological experimentation, and productive collaboration among UM researchers.

The EHLM workshop meets as scheduled at varying times and places. If you are interested, you can signup for our email list.
