I am a mathematician specializing in geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology, currently serving as a Lecturer II at the University of Michigan. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Michigan State University in 2002 and have held academic positions at both the University of Michigan and Bowling Green State University.
My research focuses on mapping class groups, curve complexes, and surface topology. Throughout my career, I have also participated in research visits at institutions such as the Max Planck Institute and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute.
