Visiting researchers join FEPS for the summer!

Ms. Muskan Shinde (IISER, Pune) is visiting our research group for the summer.  Muskan will be working on the detectability of super-earth planets with current, and future, mid-infrared high contrast imaging systems.  She will be in our group until July 26.

Ms. Megan Morgenstern (Michigan Tech.) is also working with our group through the Department of Physics Research Experience for Undergraduates program.  Megan will be helping out in our laboratory, Randall 2280, getting ready for tests of the new GeoSnap detector.

Mr. Seth Greenfield has also started working with us.  Seth is an UM undergraduate majoring in Astronomy.  He is investigating how low in mass we can search for planets around nearby late-type stars with the James Webb Space Telescope.

Welcome Muskan, Megan, and Seth!
