The Gabii Project invites graduate students in Classical Archaeology, Classics and related disciplines to participate in the 2017 season. The graduate program is accredited through the International Center at the University of Missouri, Columbia and the MU Department of Art History and Archaeology, which is a scientific partner of the project. The course (ARHA 7940: Archaeological Methods; 6 credit hours) will admit a small group of participants, and it will run from June 18 until July 22, 2017.
While participants will share the same accommodations and arrangements as the general field school, they will be expected to share staff responsibilities commensurate with their level of experience.
The cost for the 5-week for-credit program, inclusive of accommodation in Rome, Italy, insurance, equipment, and local transportation, will be approximately $4,900 (USD) in 2017.
Interested parties should apply through the online application form on the project’s website.
