Updates

Parking Update, 11/10

If you need parking but did not request a GLEAM parking pass, there is campus visitor parking info here:
https://ltp.umich.edu/parking/patient-and-visitor/campus-visitor-parking/

If you need to park overnight, you might find it more convenient to use city parking. We might  recommend the Maynard St. lot but more info can be found here:  https://www.a2gov.org/services/pages/parking.aspx

VENUE AND POLICIES

We will be meeting Thursday afternoon and Friday morning in the Michigan League on the UM central campus.  All participants need to read and affirm agreement to the UM COVID policy as well as our meeting Code of Conduct.

INTRO PDF REPOSITORY

We have launched the repository where we plan to collect one-page PDFs from each member of our community, to introduce ourselves to each other.  Feel free to include basic information about you and your research interests, list any priority projects, and contact info where people can learn more!  We plan to maintain this repository so that it can be used by all participants (and others) after the meeting.  We recommend you keep the length to one page (with a reasonable font!).

PRESENTATIONS

We will be collecting all presentations in advance so that we can load them on a presentation machine during the meeting.  We will use drop-box, and presenters will be contacted to upload their – standalone? – files (PPT, Pages, or PDF; we can investigate other formats if needed).   Please watch for an email about that and please upload presentations by end of day Wednesday next week.

REMOTE PARTICIPATION

Remote participation will be available via zoom.

Please be patient with this in case there are problems…hopefully this will be a useful forum for remote participation, as well as continue discussions that start during the meeting.

HOTEL

We have a block of 23 rooms for each of the participants who requested one.  Check-in time is 4 pm on Thursday, and check-out time is 11 am Friday morning.  Please try to abide by these requirements.  If you have special requirements for check-in or check-out, the hotel asks that we pass those along.  Please email mrmeyer@umich.edu if you have special requirements with regard to check-in/out times or otherwise.   The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the meeting venue Michigan League.  For more information:

PARKING

We are organizing parking passes for those who requested them.  These will be “Blue Zone” day passes for Thursday and Friday.  We will have to arrange to hand you these passes. Hopefully you can swing by the meeting venue between 12:00-12:30 pm to pick-up a pass from LOC member Isaac Malsky.    We recommend parking in the Thayer parking structure, which is in between the meeting venue and the hotel.
