Kate and Tom Kush earned their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in the humanities from the University of Michigan in the 1970s. Having pursued successful careers outside the academy, they recognize that our nation’s economic prosperity depends on the skills of its researchers, teachers, analysts, and thinkers.
