Dr. Khosronejad is the Farzaneh Family Scholar and Associate Director for Iranian and Persian Gulf studies in the School of International Studies at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches classes on anthropology, ethnography, material cultures of death and mourning, and contemporary Iran and the Persian Gulf. He has published on a wide variety of topics, including Iranian Shi’ism, the cinema of Sacred Defense, Afro-Iranians in the Qajar era, women’s rituals of mourning, and studies on saints, pilgrims, and martyrs. This 12:30 session is an opportunity to meet with Dr. Khosronejad in an informal setting, where we will get to learn about his work and upcoming projects. Please note the discussion will be in Persian.
