Welcome to the Persian Roundtable website! The Persian Roundtable (میزگرد فارسی) is a new project that we have begun at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to bring students, faculty, and members of the Persian-speaking community together for a weekly conversation about the arts, culture, literature, society, and history of Iran and the broader Persianate world. The typical language of discussion will be in Persian, although we will occasionally have sessions in English.
As said above, this is a brand-new project, and content will be sparse over the summer. We will post updates about the time and location of the Roundtable during the summer, and around August, you can expect to see our scheduled list of speakers for the Fall semester of 2016.
The Roundtable is currently coordinated by Golriz Farshi. If you would like to participate in the Fall program, please contact her at gfarshi [at] umich [dot] edu.
