Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! We have a packed Friday this week; see below for details:

  1. First, the Persian Roundtable is pleased to present Ameena Yovan, who will give us a visual tour and presentation about the holy sites of Iraq and Iran, which she visited this summer. This talk is in Persian and is geared towards beginner students and above, so no matter what level you are, please come; we’ll make sure it’s accessible for you! Tea and baklava will be served. The event will be held in 4000 STB (202 South Thayer St) at 4pm; see the event page for full details.
  2. The Persian Students’ Association will be performing at 7pm in the Michigan Union Ballroom as part of a larger event entitled Fusion of Cultures; see details here.
  3. Termeh will be hosting the renowned scholar of Iranian political history, Dr. Mehrzad Borujerdi, also at 7pm, in North Campus. See the event page for details; the title of his talk [in Persian] is نهادها و نخبگان سیاسی در ایران پس از انقلاب [Political Institutions and Elites in Post-Revolutionary Iran].
