teaching

I have taught courses at all levels and in all formats: Earth-105 “Tectonic Earth“, a minicourse on plate tectonics and Earth processes, Earth-116 “Introductory Geology“, an introductory field-based geoscience course at Camp Davis, Earth-119 “Introduction to Geology“, one of the gateway courses of the EARTH major, Earth-146 “Plate tectonics“, a first-seminar on plate tectonics, Earth-314 “Geophysics“, a core-course on geophysics, Earth-483 “Seismology“, a senior-undergraduate and graduate-level course on seismology, and sections of Earth-525 “Tectonophysics“, a graduate level course on geophysics and tectonics.

In the Winter terms, I organize with other faculty Earth-534 “Seminars in Geophysics, Tectonics and Structure” Finally, I supervise undergraduate student research, mostly of students in the department’s honors program.

Currently I teach Earth-314 in the Winter term and Earth-116 in the Summer term.
