Below are listings for upcoming reading group sessions in London. Like our membership, the texts we read and discuss come from a variety of fields and take diverse approaches to the intersection of Jewish and Muslim studies, broadly defined. We meet at the MayDay Rooms, an archive, resource and safe haven for social movements, experimental and marginal cultures, and their histories. All welcome.
All London Reading Group sessions have been cancelled for the rest of the academic year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Session 1 – March 4, 5-6.30pm
Facilitator: Flora Hastings & Katharine Halls
Readings: Chapter 1 of Aaron Hughes’s Shared Identities and Gil Anidjar’s ‘Muslim Jews.’
Location: MayDay Rooms, 88 Fleet St, London EC4Y 1DH
