Over the past few months, we celebrated the defenses of a number of Kennedy lab members. In August, Dr. Daniel Steyer defended his thesis entitled “Electrospray and Nanoelectrospray Ionization-Mass Spectrometry Systems for the High- Throughput Analysis of Microfluidic Droplets.” Since August, Dr. Steyer has started as a post doctoral researcher at Florida State University with Professor Michael Roper (a Kennedy lab alum himself!).
In December, we celebrated two dissertations; Dr. Natalie Arvin defended her thesis entitled “Microfluidic Western Blotting with Increased Sample Loadability and Fast Immunoassay.” Dr. Alec Valenta defended his thesis “Advances in in Vivo Neurochemical Monitoring using Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry.”
