Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Artist

Hala Qasqas is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Islamic Art History at the University of Victoria. She specializes in Damascus’ socio-urban and architectural history, with a particular focus on coffeehouses and shadow theater in early modern Damascus. Her research has been supported by several awards, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Doctoral Fellowship. In addition to her academic pursuits and teaching experience, Hala has expertise in motion graphics and visual effects, utilizing tools to explore innovative approaches to studying and representing cultural heritage. Hala is Khamseen’s Visual Effects and Motion Graphics Artist.
