
We are proud to congratulate Dwight A. McBride on starting his appointment as Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity (CRE2) at Washington University in St. Louis. McBride is also co-founder of the Academic Leadership Institute (ALI) in a partnership between the University of Michigan and Washington University.
With nearly three decades in higher education, McBride is an experienced leader and accomplished educator and author. Throughout his career, Dr. McBride has encouraged innovation in scholarship and teaching, launched initiatives to build interdisciplinary strength around global challenges, created environments that foster inclusive excellence, and expanded opportunities for experiential learning. Prior to his appointment at Washington University, Dr. McBride was the President at The New School, where he was also a University Professor.
The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity utilizes research to explore how race and ethnicity play a role in complex issues. As Executive Director, McBride will leverage his experience to bring an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to this research.
