Mayura is a 3rd year graduate student working on using simulations of stars close to Sagittarius A* to better understand the X-ray background in the galactic center.
She will use these results to investigate and discern properties of the accretion flow from the low-luminosity supermassive black hole. Previously, she worked on projects focused on observations of black holes in X-ray binaries
