Welcome to the Language Resource Center Project Showcase Website!
Our goal is to highlight the achievements of both our full-time and student staff and to publicize the tools, initiatives, activities, etc. that have been developed or are in development.
It is our hope to create a living document that can reveal the efforts of many hands at work – to demonstrate the impact of the many student staff who dedicate a portion of their time to our mission and to build upon and recognize the less-visible work of our full-time staff.
Our Process
First
We identify LRC center needs or ongoing staff projects that could use new insight or additional hands. For more details, read about the Rigidity and Poverty Traps, as depicted in the Ecocycle Liberating Structure.
Second
Our student staff are encouraged to identify research interests, or relevant experiences that correlates to any of the available opportunities. As this is an opt-in program, some self-select, while others are approached by senior staff who are aware of their areas of study.
Third
Once paired together, students and faculty create a work plan and identify goals to aim for by the end of the semester or academic year.
This site also serves as a digital portfolio of their work and their time with us at the LRC.
