Anna Brotman-Krass

I am a first year RLL Spanish PhD student. I received a BA from the University of Virginia (2020) in Global Studies and Spanish, with a concentration in Cinematography. My proposed PhD research is situated within transatlantic feminist movements and focuses on the role of performance in activism. My research deals with issues relating to migration, politics of care, domestic labor, and experimental filmmaking. In this research, I plan to continue collaborating with a group of activists and domestic workers in Madrid, Spain to make films at the intersections of these topics.
