Elena Martínez-Acacio
I am a graduate student in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan. I received my BA (Spanish Philology, 2010), MA (Literary Studies, 2011) and Ph.D. (Latin American Studies, 2015) from the University of Alicante. My current research focuses on Peninsular literature and film and addresses cultural products which, through the lenses of Feminism, Postcolonialism and Political Theory, thought and questioned the fascist nature of the Francoist dictatorship. My research interests also include contemporary Peninsular and Latin American literature and film which challenge and deconstruct the categories proper to the capitalist-patriarchal system.
