Francesca Gandini Colloquium

Please come support Francesca Gandini this Friday  in Junior Colloquium, where she will give a colloquium talk on her thesis research, supervised by Professor Harm Derksen. Her talk is titled Linear resolutions of ideals associated to subspace arrangements.

Details: Friday December 14 at 4 pm in  3088 EH.

This is a great opportunity for younger students to get exposure to the kinds of research being done in our department. For that matter, it is great opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better, both mathematically and personally.  As always, it is a social event:  we’ll head out for a quick happy hour afterward.

Junior Colloquium has several purposes. It is is YOUR place to get to know the mathematics of fellow students and faculty, as well as find mentors from among peers, faculty, post-docs and even alumni.  Beginning students can learn about potential thesis advisors and finishing students can get career advice. Everyone can find collaborators and friends.
