Math Department Graduate Student Awards

Our department has a large number of committed graduate students who make huge contributions to the scholarly life of our department. We are grateful to  all of them for their generosity, vision and energy, which bring us many seminars, research activity, outreach activities, an inclusive culture, mentoring for younger students, and friendship. This year, we are formally recognizing just five of these amazing students with a token of $500 each. We hope to make this an annual tradition.

The winners of the Math Department Graduate Student Award for this inaugural year of 2019 are:

Nathan Vaughn and Leighton Wilson, especially for running AIM seminars.

Devlin Mallory, especially for organizing the summer learning seminars.

Mark Greenfield, especially for his contributions to the Log(M) program and undergraduate research.

Francesca Gandini, especially for mentoring of and service to fellow students, including the mentoring lunches, leading the Student Advisory Committee, and the peer mentoring program.

Thank you, all, for your service!
