Vince Omni

Vince Omni is a McKnight Doctoral Fellow in Creative Writing at Florida State University. He holds an MFA from the University of Kansas, where he worked in the History of Black Writing (HBW) research center. He is a winner of the Margaret Walker Memorial Prize in Fiction, a Hurston/Wright Fellow, a Kimbilio Fellow, and co-founder of SoulClap: A Black Joy Journal. His story “Mine Own” will be published in Virgin Islands Noir (Akashic, forthcoming). He is also the 2024 winner of MQR's Jesmyn Ward Prize in Fiction.
