Lunar New Year Celebration

Description: Celebrating Lunar New Year 2014 on January 30th and the year of the horse at North Quad! With special performances of Chinese water sleeves dance, Beijing Opera, and modern dance students got to enjoy a cultural experience. Not to mention food demonstrations, calligraphy instruction, Indonesian film screening, and tea tasting, it was a packed event!

The 2015 Lunar New Year is the year of the SHEEP! This event is organized by North Quad Programming in collaboration with the International Center, Global Scholars Program, Language Resource Center, Confucius Institute and the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies. The 2014 event featured classic Chinese dance, Beiing Opera, food demonstrations, character translations, and film screenings.
