Zarin Machanda PhD

Assistant Professor of Anthropology | Tufts University


Zarin is the co-director of Primate Learning in Action. She received a BSc in Biology and Anthropology from McGill University, and a PhD in Human Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Anthropology & Biology at Tufts University, and a co-director of the Kibale Chimpanzee Project. Her research focuses on chimpanzee social relationships, communication, and behavioral development.
