Washtenaw Community College Children’s Center

Setting: Family Education Building, 4800 East Huron River Dr, Ann Arbor.

Description: The Washtenaw Community Children’s Center is a licensed Nationally Accredited Program in Washtenaw County. The enrollment is limited to the children of parents who are currently enrolled in the College so that they can attend classes but also excel in their programs or jobs. The program is offered to children who are 18 months and older. The program is play based and focuses on providing an educationally balanced curriculum for all ages. The daily schedule includes outdoor activities, art and music as well as extensive language art exposure. All materials and activities are developmentally appropriate and geared for the individual classroom ages.

Transportation: AAATA bus route, own car, or Outreach car (if available).

Prerequisites and Requirements: A TB skin test and criminal check are required.

Times: Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 12:00 pm and 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
