Welcome to the Personality and Social Contexts Area alumni mentoring portal website. The purpose of this website is to bring together current graduate students in the Personality and Social Contexts Area with graduates who are pursuing different kinds of careers and have different kinds of households at home. Each mentor has identified topics about which they feel comfortable providing advice and support and provided contact information and a copy of their curriculum vitae. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to these alumni mentors!

About Mentoring:

Mentoring takes many different forms, and involves, at a minimum, the exchange of information and perspectives between more and less experienced people who share a role or interest. Studies have shown that mentoring is beneficial to both the mentors and the mentees and contributes to one’s professional success. It is also helpful to develop relationships with more than one mentor regarding different areas of their professional life, such as work and family or scholarship and grant writing.
