Updates – May 2017

“Readings in Temporal Poetics: Four Poems by William Carlos Williams” has just appeared in Style 51.2 (2017), 187-206.

In May, 2017, I will present an essay, “Tradition and Innovation in E.E. Cummings’ ‘Picasso’,” at the annual American Literature Association meeting in Boston. The essay will be published in Spring: The Journal of the E.E. Cummings Society New Series No. 26 (Fall 2019).

This summer, I will be working on two review essays, of (1) Jonathan Culler’s Theory of the Lyric (2015) and (2) Derek Attridge’s Moving Words (2013), in addition to revising an essay, “Readings in Temporal Poetics: Three Poems by Emily Dickinson,” for the Emily Dickinson Journal.

In February, 2018, I will present an essay, “Temporal Modes in E.E. Cummings’ The Enormous Room,” at The Louisville Conference for Literature and Culture since 1900 in Louisville, KY.

In May, 2018, I will present an essay, “A Reading in Temporal Poetics: E.E. Cummings’ ‘Buffalo Bill’,” at annual American Literature Association meeting in San Francisco. The essay will appear in Spring: The Journal of the E.E. Cummings Society New Series No. 26 (Fall 2019).
