Poet John Buckley was Born in Flint, raised in Sylvan Lake, and earned a BA in English from U-M. He has lived in California, earned an MA in Literature from San Francisco State University. In Fall 2012, he moved back to Ann Arbor to attend the U-M Zell Writers’ Program as an MFA student in poetry. He recently graduated and will spend May 2014 through April 2015 enjoying a postgraduate fellowship.
Several poems were nominated for Pushcart Prizes in 2009 and 2013. Propaganda Press has published two chapbooks; his full-length collection, Sky Sandwiches, was published by Anaphora Literary Press. A book of poetry, Yankee Broadcast Network, was published on Brooklyn Arts Press in October 2014.
