RC student Paige Pfleger chosen for NPR internship
Two of the 20 books on the 2015 Library of Michigan Notable Books list have RC roots: A Detroit Anthology (an assortment of poems, essays, and photographs about Detroit), edited by RC Creative Writing alum Anna Clark, and Making Callaloo in Detroit (a collection of stories about growing up in Detroit with Caribbean roots) by RC Creative Writing instructor Lolita Hernandez. RC Creative Writing alum Peter Anderson recently played Vladimir in a Vancouver production of Waiting for Godot. Click here for a review in the Times Colonist. Peter also had a small role as a North Carolina sheriff in an episode of Supernatural (“The Things They Carried”). The episode is viewable on the CW’s Supernatural website; Peter appears between 5:10 and 6:41.
RC alum Shelley Ettinger‘s first book, the novel Vera’s Will, has received a starred review from Library Journal, which calls it “powerful, superbly written” and “a breathtaking achievement.” More information on Shelley and her book are available from her website, Facebook, and Amazon.

RC Creative Writing alumnus Peter Anderson‘s adaptation (co-written with Colin Heath) of Don Quixote will receive its U.S. premiere at the Marin Shakespeare Festival in Marin County, California from July 31 – August 30, 2015. Peter hopes to attend the official opening on August 7.
