Students will listen to an audio description of Diálogo Diverso, an Ecuadorian organization dedicated to providing services, information, and resources to the LGBTQ+ community of Quito. Students will then complete a fill-in-the-blank activity in accordance with the information provided in the video.

Students will guess predictions and statistics about the ethnic and cultural composition of the United States. After they guess, the correct answers will be provided.

Students will complete sentences by choosing a verb from a word bank and conjugating that verb in accordance with the subject and tense provided. LGBTQ+ activists will be referenced in the sentences.

Students will practice their use of the past tense in Spanish (preterite and imperfect) while answering the questions provided. They will first write their responses, then share with one partner, and then, finally, with the full class.

Students will be presented with a series of results from studies about the benefits of being multilingual or multicultural. They will think about which results surprise them and which results matter to them personally. Afterward, they may share with a partner or with the full class.
