Collision Induced Unfolding Fundamentals

Although there have been several studies applying collision induced unfolding to structural biology and ligand screening, much less is known about the mechanism of protein unfolding in the gas phase. We are focusing on understanding the gas-phase unfolding mechanism in order to leverage CIU for further applications in protein engineering, ligand screening, and structural elucidation.
